Greening Data Centres and Storage, University of Cardiff, 7 Sep 2010. This event is a collaboration between two JISC-funded projects, one on greening scientific computing, and the other on greening data storage.
Financing Energy Efficiency in University Data Centres and IT Activities, Woburn House, London, 8 Sep 2010. This event is a collaboration between two JISC-financed projected - Responsible Energy Costs led by Forum for the Future and the University of Gloucestershire and Greening Scientific Computing led by HEEPI. It will explore different funding mechanisms for financing energy efficiency in data centres and IT. Energy Efficient ICT - Salix-funded Investment Opportunities, King's College London (20 Sep) and Nottingham Trent University (23 Sep). These Salix events will highlight opportunities for reducing ICT energy consumption for existing Salix clients.
The Energy Efficient Lab - Salix-funded Investment Opportunities, at University of Manchester, 19 October 2010. This Salix event will highlight opportunities for reducing lab energy consumption for existing Salix clients.
Energy Efficient Data Centres and Labs at University of St Andrews, 9 Nov 2010. This free event profiles two new campus facilities - the Medical Sciences Building and Data Centre. These have several commonalities, including innovative approaches to cooling (CHP-based absorptive in Medical Sciences and free cooling in the Data Centre.)
